Product Overview

TA2 titanium alloy has the characteristics of low density, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance and good machining performance. Its density is only 4.51g/cm3, which is lighter than many commonly used metals, but its strength has reached more than 800MPa, and even can reach 1000MPa, which makes it unique in the need to reduce weight while ensuring strength occasions.

Performance Characteristics

Mechanical properties:

Tensile strength: TA2 titanium alloys have a tensile strength of about 240 MPa, which makes them excellent in engineering with high strength requirements.

Yield strength: Its yield strength is about 140 MPa, which ensures the reliability of the material under stress.

Elongation: The elongation of TA2 titanium alloy is about 25%, which is particularly important for engineering design requiring high strength and certain plasticity.

High temperature resistance:

Maximum operating temperature: TA2 titanium alloy can work for a long time at a high temperature environment of about 350°C, and its stable chemical properties and strength make it excellent at high temperature conditions.

Thermal conductivity: about 6.7 W/(m·K), indicating that it can effectively conduct heat at high temperatures, helping to maintain the stability and durability of the structure.

Weldability:

Welding method: TA2 titanium alloys are usually welded using TIG (argon arc welding) or EBW (electron beam welding), which can effectively maintain the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the material.

Welding strength: The strength of the welded joint can usually reach more than 90% of the base material, ensuring the stability and reliability of the welded structure.

Welding temperature range: The welding temperature of TA2 titanium alloy is generally controlled below 600°C to avoid the impact of too high temperature on the material structure.
